in this issue, Habasit Far East is proud to present Mr. Trinh Nam Hung, our Country Manager for Vietnam. Within six months of joining the team, “Hung” as we addressed him, has made a difference in providing the much needed support to our distribution partner on the ground to develop the business in Vietnam – one of the fastest growing economies in South East Asia. He is also diligently working with our existing partners to improve our support to the traditional textile, wood and paper segments and also forging new additional partnerships to expand into the non-traditional segments in Vietnam. We look forward to the new development and to strengthening relationships with our current very supportive partners.
Also in this issue, we introduce Gemtrans Engineering Co. (referred as “Gemini” in short), our sole distribution partner in Sri Lanka which we have a good channel relationship dating back to the turn of the millennium in year 2000. The partnership has come a long way especially in the last two years during which Gemini has invested in equipping the assets and human resources with assistance from Habasit Far East last year to position themselves for growth in Sri Lanka. This has led to Sri Lanka surpassing business forecast this year! We look forward to securing a respectable market share of the Sri Lanka belting market with the help of Gemini.
